1) BEFORE ARRIVAL/REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
Prepare your vehicle (see our advice 'preparing your vehicle' section).
Book the date and time slot If you wish to do your inspection at below listed stations, as these stations accept vehicles purely on booking.
- Wadi Al Banat
- Mesaimeer
- Wakra
You could pay online OR pay at the station (Card Payments accepted only).
Bring the correct registration card 'istamara'/appropriate documents of the vehicle being presented.
2) PROCEED TO THE REGISTRATION BOOTH:
Stop the vehicle beside the registration booth
Hand over the correct vehicle registration card 'istamara' or appropriate documents.
Follow the Customer Service Staff's instructions and provide a mobile phone number, the inspection result will be sent via SMS to the mobile number provided. In exceptional cases the report is printed and handed over to the customer.
Pay the appropriate Inspection fee, if applicable
Collect Receipts (Customer receipts /Inspector's Copy) along with vehicle document from the booth.
3) DRIVE TO THE INSPECTION LANE:
Drive slowly and carefully into the inspection lane.
Stop Infront of inspection lane and follow the instructions.
For safety reasons please follow our inspector's instructions in the test lane until the vehicle inspection is completed.
Once the Inspection is completed an SMS will be sent to the mobile number registered including inspection result and further steps.
4) DRIVE TO THE TRAFFIC BOOTH:
Once the Inspection is completed, you will receive an SMS, click on the link to view the report. If the vehicle passes the inspection proceed with the registration certificate renewal.
If the vehicle fails the inspection, repair the listed defects and present the vehicle for a re-inspection, the report also displays the report validity. If you surpass the due date the vehicle will need to undergo a new inspection.
If you intend to meet the Traffic Staff for any specific purpose drive the vehicle to the Traffic booth.
5) RENEW THE REGISTRATION CARD
If the vehicle passes the inspection, renew the vehicle insurance online or at the insurance counters available at FAHES Centers. Once done, you can renew the registration certificate in Metrash and print the registration certificate in the Traffic Counters at FAHES Centers.
